Project Brief
Goals:
Create a smart device that saves cold water from the shower
Make users feel better about their contribution to the environment
Learn to work in an interdisciplinary team with people from different cultural backgrounds
The project requirements are:
Comply with the following EU Directives:
Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive (
EMCD);
Low Voltage Directive (
LVD);
Machinery Directive (
MD);
Radio Equipment Directive (
RED);
Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (
ROHS);

Use open source software and technologies.
Use low-cost local hardware solutions.
Use sustainable materials and concepts.
The device must be automatic, smart and easy to use.
The water supply for the shower and toilet must be working when there is a power outage
The budget of 100 € for the prototype must not be exceeded.
